What did we play lately?

So, this is what we’ve been busy with recently. 

  
The ever-so-growing In the Night Garden collection. C loves this show! 

  

Plastic pots and lids. Simple and great opportunity for stacking and matching. 

  
Paper fun! Lots of tearing and crumbling. An other cheap way to entertain baby. Who needs toys? 

  
Colorful wooden toys. Just feeling happy looking at them. 

  
The living room treasure basket. Included: remote control, CD, coaster, wooden calendar, book, tapes, etc.

Képes beszámoló. Mivel  jatszottunk mostanában. 

Toilet roll shakers

  
Miss C really loves shakers of all types. I had some lovely colourful paper at home, so decided to use them to make some new ones. 

I used plain toilet rolls. 

  
Covered one side with paper, then fixed it with masking tape. Now, you have to do this super secure! You don’t want lentils all over the house. 

  
Next step was the filling. I used lentils, coins, buttons, pebbles and rice. Whatever you find at home! 

Closed then the other side too. 

  
Finally, covered them with colourful paper. My favourite part. 

  
All done, time to play! 

Only use these shakers with adult supervision, as children can easily open them up! 

C nagyon szereti a különböző csörgőket. Volt otthon pár szép, színes papírom, szóval elhatároztam hogy csörgők készítéséhez fogom felhasználni őket. WC papír gurigákat használtam fel alapnak. Egyik végüket befedtem papírral majd ragasztószalaggal rögzítettem őket. Ajánlott erősen rögzíteni! Ezután jött a “töltés”. Rizst, érméket, lencsét, gombokat és kavicsokat raktam beléjük, majd lezártam a másik végüket is. Végül jött a kedvenc részem, a csörgők színes papírral való bevonása. Kész! 

Soha ne hagyd egyedül gyermeked ezzel a fajta csörgővel mert könnyen ki tudják nyitni!

An Autumn storybook with props

  
There is a story about a little bird, who has no shoes as winter approaches. It is written by Ferenc Móra and it is a from my childhood. Last time I have visited a bookstore I found this little treasure again! I was really happy with the renewed version as the illustration is lovely. 
So I trully enjoy reading it to Miss C and today I also added some props. 

  
She had so much fun with those little shoes! 

I think if you find a nice book, it is a good idea to extend it into a play opportunity by adding some props related to the story. 

 Gyerekkorom egyik kedvenc verses meséje A Cinege Cipője Móra Ferenctől. A múlt héten megtaláltam ezt a kis kincset egy könyvesboltban és nagyon megörültem neki. Az új illusztráció nagyon szép! 

  

  

  

Hozzáadva nehány kiscipőt és egy kis madárkát, máris remek játéklehetőséget biztosított C számára!

   

Natural play

What did we play this morning? As to continue a bit the Autumn theme, I set up natural materials today. In two bowls, so my baby can experiment with moving them from one to the other.

Mit játszottunk ma reggel? Hogy kicsit továbbvigyem az őszi témakört, ma természetes anyagokat gyűjtöttem össze két tálba. Azért kettőben, hogy tudjon pakolászni egyikből a másikba.

DIY ring teether

  
On the weekend, I saw this kind of teether in shop and fall in love with it. However, I did not fall in love with the price tag that came with it, so I decided to make my own! 

First, I drew a template.  

  

After that, I chose a light weight cotton fabric and a piece of towel. Pinned them onto the template and cut them out. So I ended up with two pieces like this: 

  
The next step was to sew them together with the wrong side, leaving a bit open to be able to turn it out after. 

  

I sniped of a bit from the ends to make it neater after turning: 

  
Turned it out and hand stitched the small open part. 

  
  
Finally hooked it onto the wooden ring! 

  
Pretty cute! Let’s see if my bunny likes it. 

  
It passed the test! 

A hétvégén egy boltban láttam egy nagyon cuki rágókát, amibe rögtön beleszerettem. Ami már nem annyira tetszett, az az ára volt, hiszen nagyon drágának találtam. 

Ezért aztán arra gondoltam, ilyet én is tudok csinálni! 

Először is megrajzoltam a szabásmintát, majd kivágtam egy könnyű pamut anyagból valamint egy darabka törölközőből. 

Ezután az anyag hátoldalát felül hagyva összevarrtam őket, persze hagyva egy kis rést amin át majd ki tudom fordítani. Varrás után picit lenyisszantottam a végekből, hogy szebb legyen kifordítás után. 

Végül kézzel összevarrtam a kis rést, majd ráhurkoltam egy kis fakarikára. 

És kész! Már csak a tesztelés hiányzott. 

Picurnak bejött, szóval átment a teszten! 

Autumn treasure basket

There is something about treasure baskets I love. Maybe because they can engage my baby so well, maybe because there is a million option to make one or perhaps it’s just an easy play option. 

This morning we went for a walk to the park. I love the park at this time of the year, the sizzling leaves, the gorgeous colours and the crispy air. 

I was so inspired by this beauty, that I had to collect some treasures. At home I filled a basket with them for Miss C. 

This is what we got: 

  
As you can see I also added two apples from the fruit basket, and filled a bottle with some corn.

She loved it! 

Please note that this type of treasure basket should be explored with parental supervision! 

Van valami a kincses kosarakba amit nagyon szeretek. Talán az, hogy sok időre lefoglalja a babámat, vagy talán az hogy kismillió változatot lehet készíteni, vagy csak mert olyan egyszerű az egész. 

Ma reggel a napot egy sétával kezdtük a parkban. Imádom a parkot az évnek ebben a szakaszában, hiszen minden olyan gyönyörű. A színes levelek, a friss levegő, az egész olyan csodás. 

Gyűjtöttem is pár kincset az úton, amit hazatérvén C kosarába raktam. Hozzáadtam  még két almát a gyümölcsöskosárból, valamint megtöltöttem egy üres üveget száraz kukoricával. 

C imádta felfedezni a kosár tartalmát! 

Kérlek vedd figyelembe, hogy ez a fajta kincses kosár csak szülői felügyelet mellett adható a babának! 

Pumpkin headband

I think baby headbands really cute, so I always enjoy making one to my baby girl. As it is Autumn and nearly Halloween, this time I made a pumpkin one.  

First I cut out an smaller and a bigger oval shape from orange felt. I also cut a little piece of brown as the stalk from brown felt. 

  
 After I assembled my pumpkin and fixed it with a glue fun. 

  
Finally I glued it on an elastic band. 

  
And it was ready! 

Miss C could rock her new hairband. 

   
    
 
Nagyon cukinak találom a baba hajpantokat, szóval nagy örömmel készítem is őket. Most mivel ősz van és már majdnem Halloween is, ezért egy tököset készítettem. 

Először kivágtam egy kisebb és egy nagyobb darab oválist narancssárga filc anyagból, majd egy kis darabka barnát is a tök szárának. 

Ezután összeraktam és ragasztópisztollyal összeragasztottam a darabokat. 

Végül egy elasztikus szalagra felragasztottam a tököcskét és ezzel kész is lett a fejpánt. 

Cuki, nem? 

Tissue box play

I have noticed that my baby loves emptying things, so I came up with the idea of using an empty tissue box filled with fabric scraps.

What I used was simply an empty tissue box,

and some fabric scraps.

So first I folded the scraps into halves and placed them on top of each other with around 5 cm between them. 

After that I just tucked them into the box!

All done! Baby can enjoy the new toy.

It is a great opportunity for baby to practice hand-eye coordination and to explore different colours, patterns and textures.

Oh-oh all gone!

Észrevettem, hogy a babám nagyon élvezi azt ha valamiből kipakolhat. Innen jött az ötlet amihez egy üres papírzsepis dobozt és anyag maradékokat használtam fel. Ha megvannak a hozzávalóink, akkor először hajtsuk félbe az anyagdarabokat es helyezzük le őket egymást fedve, kb 5 cm távolságban. Ezután pedig már csak bele kell őket gyömöszölni a dobozba, és kész is az új játék!

Remek lehetőség a szém-kéz koordináció fejlesztésére, valamint a különböző színek, minták, textúrák felfedezésére!
